The Festivities in Nerja

Semana Santa
The Holy Week, or the week before Easter. Impressive processions all week long, making this truly Spain's most spectacular week.

May 3
Dia de la Cruz, or 'the day of the cross'. Throughout Nerja and Frigiliana you will see decorated crosses.

June 23
Day of San Juan! Barbecues and parties on the beaches of Nerja.

July 16
Day of the Virgin Carmen. On this holiday for the fishermen, a procession will bring the patron saint Carmen through the village and then finally onto a boat (Nerja).

Last weekend of August
The Festival of the 3 cultures. The streets of Frigiliana will be festive, with products and music from all parts of the world. Very nice!

October 8-12
The Feria de Nerja... or the annual fair.
